We are looking for some really creative and fun film trailers to play throughout the SAICFF and to use to promote this and future events. Submissions can be spoofs, animation shorts, homages — or any appropriate approach. They may be fun and entertaining, serious or comedic, but Christ-honoring and suitable for general audiences. Get creative and have fun. The key thing to remember is that the purpose of these trailers is to promote the festival itself, not your films.

This is a terrific opportunity for you to have your work viewed by other filmmakers, including those industry professionals who will be present for the festival.

Awards and Benefits

Trailer competition finalists will have their submissions screened at the 2009 SAICFF and will be listed in the festival brochure. Finalists in the competition will receive exposure before their peers and professionals through the screening of their work at the festival. Finalists will be announced by December 12, 2008. The winner will receive a special category award and a $250 cash prize.

Technical Rules

1. Trailer submissions must be designed to promote the SAICFF, not individual films.
2. Submitted trailer must not exceed two minutes in length.
3. Trailer must be submitted on DVD (Region 1 or multi-platform — must be compatible with all DVD players).
4. If trailer gets into the finals, filmmaker may need to provide an NTSC MiniDV tape for final judging.
5. There is no submission fee for the SAICFF Trailer Competition.
