World Premiere of ‘The League of Grateful Sons’

Sons Must Ask. Fathers Must Tell.

On Friday, October 28 at 6:30pm, the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival is pleased to host the world premiere of The League of Grateful Sons, a powerful documentary which tells the story of hope, heroes, and generations. The premiere will be held at the Lila Cockrell Theatre, located at 200 East Market Street in San Antonio, Texas.

The League of Grateful Sons is not just another war film — it is the true story of how faithful fathers and honoring sons returned to the black sands of Iwo Jima for the sixtieth anniversary of the epic battle and unearthed generational lessons for the sons and daughters of our day.

Tickets to the film premiere are $7 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, and are available at the door. Those who purchase a full festival pass get in free.

The live performances of these stories have been enthusiastically received by a wide variety of audiences at conferences, in churches, at Christian Schools and camps, and for local community events. Mr. Sarris resides in Trumbull, Connecticut with his wife, Suzan, and their five children. They have been educating their children at home since 1985.

Charlie Zahm Performs the Great Ballads of Christendom

Charlie Zahm is one of the most popular soloists at Celtic music festivals, maritime, and early American music events anywhere east of the Mississippi. With a baritone voice some have described as “coming along once in a generation,” Charlie has become one of the most successful performers on the Celtic festival circuit, weaving magical moments of Scottish history for the listener and viewer, with passion for the performance and a chosen repertoire pleasing to all members of the family. A master of the guitar as well, Charlie brings an authentic love and respect for the music he sings — and with dashes of humor and a light in his eyes, he will draw you into the stories of his songs!
